The Southeast Kansas Transition Council brings together individuals and organizations with a shared commitment to supporting youth as they transition from school to adulthood. This collaborative network includes local agency leaders, educators, school administrators, parents, and youth—each offering their unique perspective and resources to address the challenges young people face during this critical stage of life.
Together, the Council works to identify barriers that hinder successful transitions and leverages collective expertise to develop solutions that promote independence, inclusion, and opportunity.
The group adopted the name Unlocking the Future Together in SEK, a title that reflects its mission to unlock potential through shared experience and coordinated support. Unlocking the Future Together also symbolizes locking in unity; it was chosen by the group and brought to life through the creative talents of a youth member, who designed the official logo. This youth-driven contribution fostered a sense of ownership and cohesion among all participants, helping to strengthen the Council’s purpose and identity.
Through Unlocking the Future Together in SEK, the Southeast Kansas Transition Council continues to build a strong, informed, and inclusive community dedicated to empowering the next generation.
